Erosion and Sediment Control

ProMat TRM is a three dimensional matrix comprised of a layered grid structure. The polypropylene grid panels are heat fused at their junctions providing excellent physical and hydraulic properties. ProMat TRM is designed to reinforce vegetation and provide more positive resistance to erosion.

ProMat is purpose designed to withstand the typical ‘tractive shear' stresses induced by hydraulic/water loads during high rainfall and run-off events. ProMat is suitable for installation on slopes and in drains. ProMat can be soil in-filled to assist with germination of seed, or planted with tube stock or native vegetation. ProMat's three dimensional structure enables reinforcement of the root and stem zones of the vegetation for permanent long term protection.

ProMat erosion control blankets can provide three times the erosion protection of unreinforced vegetation and hence is often commonly used to replace more expensive ‘hard armor' systems such as concrete and stone.

Jute Mesh is a biodegradable open weave erosion control blanket suitable for short to medium term erosion protection to batters and open drains where light water flows are expected.

Jute Mesh helps retain moisture and allows water and light infiltration to encourage vegetation growth. Jute Mesh is suitable for batter protection, lining of swale drains and many applications of economical erosion protection prior to establishment of vegetation.
